A couple years ago I was on this incredible vacation
Cruising in the Caribbean Sea
With my parents and my oldest two daughters
We had the most amazing time
On our cruise we had a day at sea
On this particular day
We were in the middle of the ocean
And a storm was brewing
There were these stunning clouds moving in
And then a gentle rain came
It turned into a downpour
And then back into a gentle rain
Sometimes the most beautiful storms
The sun is still shining through
Somewhere in the sky
This was that storm
I was in my room on a lower deck
And I was drawn out by the wonder of it all
I ran to the top deck
And as I moved toward the front of the ship
I saw the most magnificent rainbow
It was a double rainbow
And the end was falling into the ocean
Right in front of me
It was as if we were going to run right through the rainbow
The thought came to me
I am sailing straight into the promises of God
I was seeing something I’d never seen
I was closer than I’d ever been
And He was was speaking to me in the midst of it
May you be swept away into the land of promise
Where your whole being is awakened
To every promise that has ever been spoken by Him
Every promise that He has ever made
Is becoming alive to you and in you
His promises are breathing
They are speaking
I hear them asking will you believe me?
Do you see me?
And the greatest of all of the promises
Is the Promised One
He has spoken and His word to you is

And just like the light of the sun reflects off the raindrops

As the Son of God encounters you
